Fire-resistant glass

Fire-rated laminated glass provides reliable protection in the event of fire, thanks to advanced intumescent interlayers that comply with the classifications for 'Integrity and Radiation Control' (EW) and 'Integrity and Insulation' (EI). When exposed to high temperatures, these interlayers expand to form a rigid, opaque barrier that absorbs heat and effectively limits the spread of flames and radiant heat. The glass is available in a wide range of classifications, from EW/EI 30 up to EI 120, enabling you to specify the appropriate level of protection for your project.

Maintaining a substantial stock allows us to offer short and dependable lead times. The glass can be precisely cut to size using advanced waterjet technology and finished in accordance with our Vision Line standard, resulting in a clean, refined appearance that reflects both technical expertise and craftmanship.

Fire performance classifications

Class E – integrity

Class E
integrity

The ability of the element to prevent the passage of flames. Heat transfer is permitted.

CLass EW – integrity and radiation

Class EW
integrity and radiation

The ability of the element to prevent the passage of flames while limiting the transmission of radiant heat.

CLass EI – integrity and insulation

Class EI
integrity and insulation

The ability of the element to prevent the passage of flames and to limit heat transfer through the element.

The required fire resistance is specified in accordance with the relevant national building regulations, based on a risk assessment that takes into account the building characteristics and the location of the tested element (façade, partitions, staircases, etc.). This fire protection complies with EN 12101-1 and EN 13501-2.
