EuroColor Enamelled Glass

EuroColor enamelled glass is an opaque glass solution in which one side of the glass is fully coated with a high-quality enamel layer. During a thermal treatment process, this enamel coating is permanently fused with the glass surface, resulting in an exceptionally durable toughened safety glass. The result is a high-performance architectural glass that combines outstanding mechanical strength with long-lasting colour stability and visual consistency.

Certified Quality & Durability

EuroColor enamelled glass complies with the EN 12150 standard for toughened safety glass.. During production, only enamels free from lead, cadmium, mercury and chromium VI are used, ensuring a safe and environmentally responsible product.

To guarantee long-term performance and weather resistance, the glass has been extensively tested under demanding conditions, including:

  • Atmospheric condensation testing according to DIN 50017 (52 °C).
  • Thermal shock testing (from -40 °C to +90 °C, 5 cycles).
  • Humid sulphur dioxide ‘Kesternich Test’ according to ISO 6988 (DIN 50018 - SFW 2,0S).
  • Abrasion resistance testing according to ANSI Z 26.1 test 17 and test 18.
  • Water leach resistance according to DIN 38 414 Part 4.
  • Chemical resistance testing with 10% citric acid and 3,5% hydrochloric acid according to ASTM C724-91.
  • Sulphide resistance testing, Na2S in acetic acid according to ASTM C777-93.
  • Mechanical strength testing according to DIN 18516 Part 4.
  • Bending testing according to DIN 52 292 Part 1.
  • Impact resistance testing according to DIN 52 338.

EuroColor enamelled glass is available with short lead times and competitive pricing in a wide range of standard colours. Non-standard colours are also available on request.

Please note that the displayed colours are indicative only. The final appearance may vary depending on the glass thickness. We therefore strongly recommend requesting a sample in your preferred colour to ensure the desired result. For projects requiring perfect colour consistency, we advise using a single glass thickness throughout the project and placing the complete order at the same times. Minor colour variations between production batches may occur.
